Rev. Giorgio Hiatt

Pastor - Teaching Elder

Born in Frankfurt, Germany to an Italian mother and Hawaiian father, Giorgio has moved 23 times. [His dad was Special Ops.] He and his wife Amanda were high-school sweethearts, got married in 1996, and soon left for both to attend seminary in St. Louis. Since then, they’ve made their home in North Carolina. Before coming to Redeemer in 2012, Giorgio co-planted a multi-ethnic church in Charlotte. They have two amazing children, Carver and Springer. Giorgio cares about the big stories that capture our imaginations and the material conditions that shape all of our lives – especially the marginalized. He is always up for meaningful conversations, a great meal, and good (preferably live) music. Also, Wordle.
