Children's Ministry
Redeemer Church seeks to assist parents in bringing their children to a personal faith in Jesus Christ; teaching them to love God and live lives based on His Word, the Bible. We want children to: (1) Delight in living with God their Father - to develop a loving relationship that expresses itself in joyous worship, dependent prayer, and faithful service. And...(2) Delight in God's Word and His Church - to be able to read and interpret the Bible and to enjoy meeting regularly with God's people, young and old. And to... (3) Delight in telling others about Jesus.
There are three "gathered" options for children to learn more about God and his world every week:
- Sunday Morning Sunday School (10AM) and Worship are times for young and old to worship the living God - both as one body and in age-appropriate classes. See below for a list of class time(s) and meeting place(s).
- The Sunday Night 5PM Worship Service is a time for families to worship together. Friendly and welcoming childcare workers are provided for newborns through kindergarten while school age kids are invited to worship with their parents.
- MidWeek Gatherings The mid-week fellowship meal is a time for Redeemer households to connect with other households in a casual setting. The meal starts at 5:30pm (5:15pm for kids/youth choir participants) and goes until 6:30pm when classes start. (or you can stick around and help clean up.) Adults study a topic from a Confession (Either Heidelberg or the Westminster Confession of Faith) or a practical application such as the Dave Ramsey "Financial Peace" Class, Kids are engaged in Kid's Quest Catechism Training, Youth study applications of their Faith in D(iscipleship) Group Settings. Choirs also rehearse on Wednesdays. Two children's choirs and the youth choir rehearse from 5:45pm until 6:30pm. The adult choir (college age and up) rehearses from 6:30pm until 7:45pm.
